The strong wind and a determined Glynneath team prevented the Quins from dictating the tempo, at full tilt the Quins are unstoppable but they ground out the win. Glynneath led at half time by two penalties and a converted try to a brilliant solo Nathan Egan try. Showing strength, guile and pace he scored from 50 metres.
In the second period the Quins took over although 2 yellow cards hampered them. Conor O’Callaghan got the first of his brace and Kieran Davies notched up two hundred points for the season with 2 conversions and a penalty. As far as we can ascertain he is the first player to do so in the history of Quins’ youth rugby. A brilliant performance in his 19 appearances.
Glynneath got a consolation try at the death but oh, oh, oh yes they remain the great pretenders!
