Playing with wind advantage in the first half the Quins found the going very hard against a lively Taibach.

Scrum half, Kyle Jenkins was a constant threat to the Quins and he had great support from back row men Mike Kelly and Alex Holland. However it was the Quins that took an early lead through a Ryan Pugh penalty after some strong running from Luke Davies and Adam Dawe. Rather against the run of play Pugh increased the lead with a second penalty. Jordan Crealock then grabbed a loosely bouncing ball to sprint over

from 60 metres to touchdown making the half time score 11-0.

Taibach started the second half brightly and Miles Pickford ended a spectacular bout of play by scoring a great try. Matthew Phillips converted. Pugh hit back with a penalty after Crealock put in another great run supported by Dawe. Phillips showed good skills with fellow centre Richard Lewis before  flanker Kelly stormed over for a try which Phillips improved to level the scores. The Quins pack started to impress themselves on the game with props Josh Pugh and Tom James applying great pressure in the scrums driving the tiger's eight backward continually. Dale Bowen, Liam Oates and Craig Cox revelled in the tight play and gained a reward when full back, Craig Williams scored from a scrum five. The final quarter saw the Quins really dominating the forward battle and Karl Davies drove over from a close maul. Ryan Pugh converted to take his season's points total pass the 200 mark. Giving the Quins a victory that was very much closer than the final score suggests.
