The Quins pack was too powerful for the stars in this pre-season friendly.

After an evenly fought opening quarter the Quins took the lead when  No.8 O'Callaghan picked up from an advancing scrum to feed Ryan Pugh and  David Morley beat three covering defenders to score a corner try. Sheppard converted.

O'Callaghan had a hand in the second try when he burst through for Sheppard to touch down and convert to make the score at half time 14-0.

The Stars defended bravely but found it hard going up front. Scrum half Marcus David made early running in the next score finished by Taylor Harford with a spectacular run under the crossbar. Sheppard converted. Reduced to passive scrums the game speeded up dramatically and David again waltzed through and Sheppard scored his second try. Evergreen winger Jamie Lean crossed after some smart handling, Pugh converted and also added the points to a late Luke Davies try.
