Despite having a fare share of possession due to passive scrums from the outset the young Neath Athletic XV proved no match for the Quins. A good burst by No.8 Conor O'Callaghan supported by winger Gareth Pugh saw scrum half Marcus David cross for the opening score. Lock Callum Beynon made good ground supported by prop Tom James for flanker Adam Dawe to score the Quins second try. The Athletic came more into the game but the midfield defence of centres James Peploe-Williams and Jack Dacey kept them at bay. O'Callaghan combined with fly half Marc Sheppard and Peploe-Williams to put prop Tom James over at the corner flag. A break from deep in the Quins half by Dacey put winger Gareth Pugh away on a strong run supported by Marcus David who gave a scoring pass to Craig Cox coming on an unstoppable angle for the bonus point try. Sheppard converted to pass 100 pts for the season.

The start of the second half saw the Quins lose their way a little and an excellent passage of play resulted in Alex Dilling score a good try for the visitors. A maul following a close in line out resulted in a try for Sheppard to stretch the Quins lead. Athletic's attempt to run from deep was foiled by a crash tackle by Dacey and Marcus David sprinted over from 30 metres. Sheppard converted and also improved the final score engineered by Gareth Pugh and scored by Ryan Pugh.
