RIP - Trevor Lloyd (Aged 91)

Trevor Lloyd.   
Caps: 2.    Position: Scrum half.  Games Played: 1953 v I,F.    
Born: 5/9/1924 Taibach, near Port Talbot.     Main club: Maesteg.           
LIONS 1955 : 6 games.
Trevor Lloyd took advantage of the injury to Rex Willis against Scotland to partner Cliff Morgan to victories over Ireland at Swansea and France in Paris. It earned him selection for the Lions team to South Africa in 1955, where at 30 he was the oldest player in the tour party. Also in 1955 he led a Wales XV against a Lions XV and skippered Maesteg five times from 1948 to 1951 and also in seasons 1953-54 and 1955-56 A blast furnaceman who served in the Navy during WWar2 he remained extremely loyal to Maesteg. 
From Eastern School in Taibach, he also made appearances for British Steel Co, Aberavon, Cwmavon and Bristol, ending his career at Aberavon Quins.
